Poker Games

Poker is the most popular card game, where players bet on the value of their hands (sets of cards they hold) by contributing their bets into the pot. The winner is determined after comparison of players’ hands (the strongest hand wins), except the case when only one players remains in the game before the showdown (other players fold).

There are many poker variants. These are games that have the same patterns of play and use similar hand ranking scheme. Basically, all poker variants fall into three main groups: stud poker games (like Seven Card Stud), draw poker games (like 5 Card Draw) and community poker games (like Texas Holdem and Omaha).
